You can still surf the web, of course, but no more posting of avatars, photos and such through Apple-based web hosting without upgrading to Lion. In other words, the networked portions of Snow Leopard will no longer be available. To some degree you will be able to replace some of those functions with iCloud, or you may opt to find a more stable web host. At the end of June, Apple will close the approximately 15 year experiment known by such names such as iTools, iDisk, Mac.Com, and MobileMe. You've got about six months until the last remnants of Snow Leopard are no longer supported by Apple. If you're not prepared to be a loner, go with Lion. It's always possible to do that if you are absolutely satisfied that you currently have all you need for your studio, and believe that you could never want anything more. As always, in situations like this, you can drop off the grid, stay with what you've got, and as the months tick away you'll find fewer options for upgrades of any of your software, plugins, and even hardware in some cases.
